Accessibility

Family history should be approachable on a phone, with a keyboard, and with assistive technology.

Current design goals

Readable type, visible keyboard focus, semantic headings, labeled forms, meaningful image alternatives, and responsive layouts.

Complex genealogy views

Tree, map, and chart features will need equivalent text and table views. Current empty interfaces do not hide genealogical content in inaccessible drawings.

Help improve access

Use Report a Problem to describe a barrier, including the page and device if comfortable.
